20-22 November 2018: ERF II ForumBIE 2030

The Education Relief Foundation, jointly with the representatives of Ministries of Education, International Agencies, Academic Bodies, and Civil Society Organisations convened in Mexico City, United Mexican States, to attend the II ForumBIE 2030, where the International Call on Balanced and Inclusive Education was composed and signed. A historic, non-binding agreement in which the signees pledge to dedicate themselves to the research, development and implementation of Balanced and Inclusive Education, globally.

International CallRecognising the pivotal role education has on peoples’ economic, social and cultural wellbeing, and on society as a whole, motivated by the commitment to achieve Sustainable Development Goal number 4 within 2030;

Reaffirming the outcomes of the Regional Stakeholders Consultative Meetings undertaken by the Education Relief Foundation in 2017 and the I ForumBIE;

Endorsing a holistic student-centred and community-rooted approach to education and promoting direct and reinforced collaboration among national and local agents;

The Education Relief Foundation reaffirms its commitment to Balanced and Inclusive Education by calling upon all Ministries of Education, International Agencies, Academic Bodies, and Civil Society Organisations to be involved in pilot projects, collaborations, and case studies; guided by the Education Relief Foundation, a formal draft of the Universal Declaration on Balanced and Inclusive Education will be compiled in the next 18 to 24 months.
