Civil Society Engagement

ERF worked with education experts to identify areas where improvements were needed. ERF’s team engaged with local stakeholders to perform system assessment. Its work aimed at serving and supporting policy makers and community representatives by providing the results of ERF’s collaborative research with academic institutions to shape national thinking and policy.

System assessment aimed to provide answers to the following:

  1. Were the foundations for balanced and inclusive curriculum in place?

  2. Did educational institutions have the required resources to capacitate the system for balance and inclusiveness?

  3. How could the curriculum be optimised?

Ambitions for sustainable education are elegantly captured in Sustainable Development Goal 4 which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all - UNESCO
